Completion of primary and secondary sedimentation tanks in West Tehran Wastewater Treatment Plant

 

 

 

Executive operation of primary and secondary sedimentation tanks and aeration tanks with a total volume of more than 500 thousand cubic meters was completed in the West Tehran Wastewater Treatment Plant. Currently the tune up actions of these equipment and other executive actions such as anaerobic digesters, screening, grit and wastewater transmission channels are under the execution.

It is worth noting that the treatment plant equipped by screening and grit removal, sedimentation bridges, wastewater disinfection equipment, anaerobic digesters equipment, biogas storage tanks, concentrating pumps and sludge dewatering and CHP equipment.

The treatment process in this treatment plant is a complete biological treatment system by activated sludge method with the capability of removing nitrogen and phosphorus simultaneously along with sludge treatment facilities with a treatment capacity of 190 million cubic meters per year that will cover two million and 100 thousand people of west and southwest of Tehran.
